Sunday Obsessions--A Lil Late!

1. Reading

The last two books I finished are Dismantled by Jennifer McMahon and Then Came You by Jennifer Weiner. Both of which I highly recommend!

2. Couponing

Not in the extreme sense but just general couponing. Hubby and I are on a strict budget as of August 1 and coupons will help us stick to the grocery budget.

3. Magazines

I guess this kind of goes along with the reading thing but I have been obsessed with magazines. I got a bunch of magazine subscriptions really cheap and I so look forward to getting them in the mail!

4. Knitting

Knitting keeps me sane. Crocheting too but I am on a knitting kick at the moment.

Fashionable Friday: Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips

This is the Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips in Laced Up.

I don't know. I don't really care for them. I put them on last night and I'm not sure if it is showing up in the picture but they are already chipped. My husband says they look like stickers. I think I'll pass on these--especially for the price (which is right around $8)!

Have you tried these yet? What was your experience with them?

Totally Random Thursday: My Husband & Free Stuff

My husband has a new hobby.

It is acquiring free samples from the Internet.

I thought it was funny/semi-ridiculous at first but now I think it's practical and useful. Here is our haulage from the last couple of days:

Wishlist Wednesday!

1. Over the knee socks! Yup, it may be 100 degrees outside but I'm already thinking about fall and fall fashion. I want some over the knee socks that will peek out of my knee high boots. As seen HERE! Urban Outfitters has lots of fun ones.

2. Soleil Tan De Chanel! I have heard nothing but stellar reviews of this bronzing makeup base but at $48 it is bound to stay on my wishlist.

3. THIS area rug for my living room.

Tasteful Tuesday: Corner of My World!

I did my first Corner of My World post way back in November of 2010! You can view it here. My mantle has changed to some degree so I should update that soon. Maybe in my next Tasteful Tuesday.

Today we are going to a section of my dining room. I love my dining room. It is my favorite room in our home and is the heart of it, both in that it is centrally located and in that it tends to be where my husband and I congregate. From it we can see both the living room and the playroom (located on the lower level), which is essential given that we have two small children.

The lower level also contains our washer and dryer. When I come upstairs and into the dining room with an armful of clean laundry, I tend to dump it on the server in our dining room. I cannot even believe I'm admitting that but doesn't everyone have a place where their clean laundry tends to.....hide out?

I cannot believe I just put a picture of that on the web! Oh well. That's just me keeping it real!

I have decided to make a concentrated effort to NOT dump the clean laundry there anymore. I love the decor and general feel of this room but I know I'll appreciate it even more if I don't make it the server the place that clean laundry goes to die....and by die I mean hang out until we grab it and wear it.

Blogging...EVERY Day!?!
