Skin Care Haul: Target Clearance

I turn 30 next month.

You have no idea how much I cringe when I type that.

I know, I know. Thirty is the new twenty and all that. But I still am feeling some sorrow at leaving my twenties behind forever.

I admit that I have become more worried about my looks as I age. I never dyed my hair until my late twenties (with the lone exception of a horrible professional highlight job senior year of college--I came out looking like a legit skunk). I can deal with the now necessary hair dying as the majority of my peers have been playing around with the color of their hair since our high school days when Sun In was all the rage.

However my biggest concern as of late is my skin--mainly wrinkles and fine lines. Skincare in general tends to be on the pricier side....but anti-aging products are downright expensive! I was at Target yesterday (6/11/11) and I noticed they had quite a few skin care lines on clearance. Here comes the haulage!

I picked up the Avalon Organics Facial Cleansing Gel for $2.48 (regular price $9.99). It claims to be a "gentle foaming washing to renew and refresh" that is for normal to oily skin. (I have combination skin for the record). I also got the Wrinkle Defense Night Creme from Avalon Organics. That was regularly $21.99 and I scored it for $5.48. It is an "intensive hydration and anti-aging repair while you sleep" that is for all skin types.

Next up is the Jason line. Their packaging states they are "pure, natural & organic." I got the Ester-C Lotion which is an antioxidant regenerating moisturizer. Regular price was $15.99 and it was on clearance for $3.98. I also got the Hyper-C Serum that is an anti-aging therapy that is meant to be used in conjunction with the Ultra-C Eye Lift (I plan to use these as night time products). The serum was originally an astounding $34.99 that I got for $8.74 and the eye lift was $19.99 on clearance for $4.98.

Finally I got two products from Alba Bontanica. These aren't specifically anti-aging so if you are aren't concerned about that just yet (although I truly believe it is never too early to start thinking about it!) then you might want to check out these products. The Alba Botanica Rainforest Foaming Cream Cleanser that claims to be for all skin types and to "gently lift away impurities." I also got the Alba Botanica Rainforest Hydrating Oil Contol Moisturizer that "nourishes and minimizes shine." I think this moisturizer has the potential to be a great summer time (aka high shine time) product. The cleanser was normally $12.99 that I picked up for a mere $3.24. The moisturizer was $19.99 that was marked down to $4.98.

I spent $33.88 on products that would have originally cost me $135.93! I am so excited to try these products out. I will keep you all up to date on how I am liking/disliking these products.

Do you have any favorite anti-aging products that you LOVE?
